Lining the flesh Prepare a mixture of burnt Siena with a touch of ultramarine blue. Add a good proportion of emulsion to get solid lines. Use a brush with a good tip – fin this case I used a Raphaël 8408 No 2 – and make sure to use a dry mixture – don't add water to it – to obtain fine and precise lines. Make very precise lines for the eyes and the face in general because the drawing, at all stages, determines the final expression of the characters and it is the basis on which the highlights are done.
