Lining the flesh
Use a brush with a good tip and, if possible, practice first on a photocopy of the drawing before tracing the main parts of the face on the board (the eyes, the nose and the mouth).
The colour of the lines is composed of burnt Siena with a touch of burnt umber. The mixture must be quite dry but with a good proportion of egg to get solid lines.
For the hair, you can trace darker lines than for the face and the hands, by adding a bit of black to the mixture.
