Assist gliding – Preliminary step
Prepare quite a dry mixture of kitrino ochre and chrome yellow. Before starting, carefully study the positioning of the golden rays on a good model and begin with the braids of the Mother of God’s maphorion. Trace precise and regular lines – if you don't feel ready enough, you can practise first on a photocopy.

Then you can do the decorations on Christ's garment. Here, the lines must end with a thin and regular tip. Divide your work, working on each area delimited by the lines of the drawing at a time.
