Icon of Jesus Almighty.
By its inscription and blessing, the icon is linked to the prototype it represents. This inscription is written in one of the liturgical languages of the Church: Aramean, Greek, Latin, Slavonic, Arabic, Coptic etc. On the icons of Christ, we keep the Greek abbreviations IC XC, for Jesus Christ. On the halo, where a cross is drawn, there are always the three letters "own," meaning "He Who Is," the name of God revealed to Moses before the burning bush.
