Saint Emilia (also known as Emmelia, Amelia, or Emily) was born in a pious family of Caesarea in Cappadocia (Fourth century). She had ten children, four of which are numbered among the saints: Basil the Great, Gregory of Nyssa, Peter of Sebaste and Macrina.
She ended her days in a Monastery, where her daughter Saint Makrina was the Igoumeness.
